1991 Productions

1991 Productions is a Tbilisi and-London based film production company founded by producers Anna Khazaradze and Nino Chichua, dedicated to developing and producing director-driven fiction and documentary films with a strong international outlook. Since starting their careers in the Georgian film industry in 2017, the producers have built a slate of award-winning work including Crossing (Opening Film, Berlinale Panorama 2024), 9-Month Contract (Human Rights Award, CPH:DOX), Smiling Georgia (Karlovy Vary IFF 2023), and Glory to the Queen. The company is currently developing several international projects, including the documentary Berliner and the fiction feature Disposable, and is in post-production on Uta Beria’s feature Tear Gas. In 2025, the company expanded with a UK branch.
