Established in Warsaw in 2012 Movie Mates is a production and distribution studio. It is dedicated to producing documentary films and TV series that combine artistic value with attractive narratives. Movie Mates produced for Discovery LTD UK (documentary TV series SPORTS FANS / 2017) and is coproducing feature documentaries with Canal+ Polska (EARLY APEX/ 2023, ARIA DI BRAVURA / 2025). Between 2015 and 2021, Movie Mates comprehensively carried out two campaigns with the support of the Polish Film Institute promoting Polish cinematography on the airlines' flights. PICTURE POLAND (2015-2016) showcased new Polish cinema, and the campaign involved Polish Airlines LOT, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airways. Meanwhile, the KINO NA 100 campaign was part of the celebrations of the centenary of Poland regaining its independence. A collection of one hundred outstanding films (including works by Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Roman Polanski, and Wojciech Has) was available on LOT flights from 2019 to 2021. Movie Mates was responsible for the selection, legal services, the technological process related to broadcasting materials, and the promotion of both campaigns.
