The company has been established in May 2001. Three partners with extended experience in production business have decided to go together and try to bring a new breeze into quite settled Prague's film business environment to bring the local agencies a chance to work with new, young, small but very efficient company. Armada Films is focusing on both commercials as well as short films. In 2002 the company produced a short film for compilation project Ten Minutes Older with the Oscar Academy winning director Jiří Menzel. Other directors participating on the project in other countries were Bernardo Bertolucci, Spike Lee, Aki Kaurismaki, Wim Wenders, Werner Herzog, David Lynch. The company has produced commercials for the worldwide markets for campaigns such as Sony Play Station, Guiness, Suzuki, Lexus, Samsung, Panasonic and countless commercials for the local markets. In 2005 the company produced a documentary Troublemaking Genius in co-production with ARTE France.
