karin berghammer filmproduktion was founded in 2001 in Vienna and started out with the production and worldwide distribution of popular scientific films. Since 2003 the company produced several documentaries like Midwives, a Global Perspective on Childbirth and COOP 99 – ein Gegenschuß, released at the Austrian Filmfestival Diagonale in Graz.
Karin Berghammer was also involved in the development of feature documentaries like It Happened Just Before and The 737 Days Without Karamo by Anja Salomonowitz produced by Amour Fou Filmproduktion Vienna. Since 2015 KBF is develloping new projects like Zentralfriedhof (WT), a documentary on the institution of the central cemetry of Vienna and Vatersohn (WT) a coming of age story about a father challenged by his adolescent son.
