About the Company

The public broadcaster ERR operates under the Broadcasting Act passed in 1994. ERR is financed wholly from the state budget, and has been entirely free of commercials since July 1st, 2002. In 2007, ETV merged with the Estonian Radio Service (ER) to form the Estonian Public Broadcasting or Eesti Rahvusringhääling, ERR. So far, ETV has been broadcasting under its original name.
