Boll AG is a Germany-based company active in the production and marketing of English-language films. The films are largely based on video games, aimed at a young audience and include titles such as House of the Dead, Fate, Blackwoods, Seed, The Last Sentinel, Bloodrayne, Heart of America, Alone in the Dark, Sanctimony and Far Cry. Boll AG cooperates with such motion picture companies and movie distributors as Horizon/FOX in Australia, Vivendi/Universal in the United States and Canada, FOX-International and Metrodome in the United Kingdom and Splendid/Warner in Germany, among others. The Company finances the production of its films through a range of funds and its own film distribution company, which sells the films before they are being produced. Boll AG is also active in the trading of licenses. It has one wholly owned subsidiary, BOLU Filmproduktion und -verleih GmbH and it owns a stake in Boll Kino Beteiligungs- GmbH & Co. KG
