HITCHHIKER Cinema

Founded in 2012 by producer Barbara Janišová Feglová, HITCHHIKER Cinema is an independent production company focusing on creative documentaries and auteur films with strong social relevance. Dedicated to supporting emerging filmmakers and distinctive voices, the company produces award-winning works recognised nationally and internationally. Key titles include A Hole in the Head (DOK Leipzig), Lines (multiple Ji.hlava awards), Pongo Calling (Sheffield DocFest, Best Film at Ake Dikhea?), Ms. President (Best Documentary at Ji.hlava), and several TV documentary series. Recent work includes the festival-recognised short Gritty Eyes. HITCHHIKER is now expanding into fiction, with a focus on women filmmakers and female-driven stories.
