Guča

GUČA is an independent film production company based in Bratislava. Established in 2013 by Viera Cakanyova, Alexandra Gojdicova, Dorota Zacharova and later joined by Matej Sotnik. With a focus on documentaries at the crossroads of media, genres and themes that resonate today, we try to develop our projects with international ambitions. Our focus is mainly on first-time directors, female filmmakers and internationally-appealing personal stories. Our latest film White on White (2021, 74 min.) by Viera Cakanyova won the main prize Opus Bonum at the 24th Ji.hlava IDFF, the Green Prize at DokuFest Kosovo 2021, the Best Czech Documentary Prize at One World Prague IDFF and was presented at other international film festivals.
