OTHER FILMS was founded by producer Rita Balogh and filmmaker and screenwriter Peter Akar with the goal create an organization that can host and look after their projects and those with similar objectives and ambitions. OTHER FILMS is dedicated to the promotion of creative documentaries in Hungary and helping the realization of truly international films. Rita Balogh is the founder-director, and the company is the co-producer of the Budapest International Documentary Festival - an international competition and platform in Hungary for creative documentaries from all over the world without thematic restriction (www.bidf.hu). OTHER FILMS has experience with working with UK broadcasters, including Channel4 and STV.
