Busan International Short Film Festival

About

Launched as the Korean Short Film Festival this was the first short film festival to appear in Korea and in its early years, the festival screened only Korean films. The festival expanded its scope to include Asian short films in 2000, and in 2010 it became a truly international film festival, accepting films from all over the world. The purpose of the festival is to discover and introduce the outstanding short films from Korea and other countries regardless of their genre and theme and also, to activate the creation of short films by sponsoring the next productions of up-and-coming filmmakers.

Grand Prix for Best Picture: 10 000 000KRW (approx.8800 USD)
Excellence Award for Best Picture: 5 000 000KRW (approx.4400 USD)
Jury Prize: 2 000 000KRW (approx.1700 USD)
NEPAC Award: A prize and trophy (One Asian film of Competition Films)
Other prizes will be announced and the details are subject to change.

Rules

Films completed after January 1st 2020.
There is no limitation to the number of films to be submitted.
Only online registrations will be accepted through the platforms Festhome and Shortfilmdepot. Permission Format: mp4, m4v.

1 film poster
