The FILMADRID International Film Festival was born in 2015 from the hand of the cultural association Pasajes de Cine with the determination to discover unpublished paths within the contemporary film landscape and promote the exhibition of a very varied cinema of authorial character in the city of Madrid. In the program, the first works of young talents coexist alongside the latest works of renowned filmmakers.
After several editions, the festival has become a cultural event that also has continuity throughout the year through the Filmadrid Passages screenings.
Each year we seek to offer the public a new and diverse program: fiction, documentary, expanded, performative, video art, video essay, found footage, etc., as well as a first class educational offer. Our call for entries is international and open to films from all over the world, regardless of length or production format.
