The PolitFilmFestival is an annual thematic film festival in Innsbruck. The event focuses on political processes, democracy, art, culture, discussion and exchange.
For 16 years now, the PolitFilmFestival has been promoting socio-critical and democracy-political debate in public space and in the cinema. In a combination of film and discussion evenings, attention is drawn to explosive political as well as social and societal, media and economic processes and the formation of the audience's opinion is stimulated. Each edition deals with a specific complex of topics. On three evenings, the selected topic is discussed and illuminated in a variety of ways.
The carefully selected discussants and moderators allow the viewers to delve deeper into the topic and provide space to directly confront the experts with questions.
