About the Company

Luxfilm is an independent Estonian film studio founded in 2005 for young passionate film makers to give them an opportunity to experiment and create breaking the boundaries of conservative and commercial film making. Luxfilm has produced several short films, documentaries, commercials and one feature film. Luxfilm’s most recent short films „Black Peter“ (2008) by Priit Pääsuke and „Shift“ (2010) by Anu Aun are both nationally and internationally the most awarded Estonian short films of last years. Both films have also been chosen by Estonian Film Critics Association among 5 best Estonian films of the year to compete with full-length features and creative documentaries for the prize of Best Estonian Film of the year. Luxfilm is currently developing three films: a creative documentary „Conversations in Non-existent Space“ and two feature films: „The Polar Boy“ by Anu Aun and „Mud in Your Face“ by Priit Pääsuke, which will be co-produced together with Allfilm.
