Asociatia Marele Ecran

The Association Marele Ecran is dedicated to bringing forward the art cinema, the Romanian, the European and the world cinema, as an alternative to the commercial cinema industry. Co-founders of Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival, traditional partners of the French Cultural Institute and the German Consulate from Timişoara, curator of the Movie House at Plai Festival (together with Pelicula Culturală) and of the Cinematheque from the House of Arts (the Timiș County Direction for Culture), fiercely hold the idea of a permanent cinematheque in Timişoara.
