D1film was found by Zuzana Piussi and Vít Janeček in Prague in 2014 as a boutique production platform focusing mainly for authorial documentaries and fiction with relevant social, political or personal topics and approach. They run also sister's VIRUSfilm production in Slovakia in 2019 and an arthouse cinema and postproduction Atlas Cinema in Prague since 2022.
