The Munich International Festival of Film Schools (Internationale Münchner Filmwochen GmbH) was established in 1981. It is now one of the most important festivals for young filmmakers in the world. More than 3 500 films have been presented at the festival since its inception. More than 3 200 foreign students and professors have had opportunities to meet, enter into discussions and share their experiences with each other.
