Curtas Vila do Conde - International Short Film Festival

The first festival in Vila de Conde was held in 1993. The festival focuses its attention on transformation and change while keeping an eye on everything that happens in the field of cinema. This is why not only the programming philosophy is regularly changed so that it can keep up with emerging trends within the arts and the progress in cinematic and video languages, but there has also been a move towards visual arts from which more and more artists emerge with new work to be shown in this festival. The festival is built around the Portuguese and international short film competitions (under 60 minutes). There are also other sections such as Music Videos competition and Take One! - a young generation of film students showcases outstanding short films. The festival also organizes a short film market.
