Hysteria Film AB is a Swedish independent film production company founded in autumn 1994 by Antonio Russo Merenda and Malla Grapengiesser with its base in Stockholm. Hysteria Film has systematically built up an international reputation for high-quality creative documentaries with a strong visual and narrative approach and with a universal audience appeal for both television and cinema.
An emphasis on international co-productions as well as the development of new talents is of specific importance to us.
Our main working partners are the Swedish Film Institute, SVT (Sweden), YLE (Finland), The Finnish Film Foundation, AVEK (Finland), DR (Denmark), the Danish Film Institute, ARTE (France & Germany), TVP (Poland), ITVS (USA) and the Nordic Film & TV Fund (Norway). Since 2007 Hysteria Film AB is actively involved in the development of feature films for theatrical release.
