Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles

About the Company

The Polish Film Festival Los Angeles was founded by Vladek Juszkiewicz in 1999.
The specific purpose of the Festival is to educate and inform the public about Polish culture, Polish films and the country of Poland in general.

The organization’s largest event is the annual Polish Film Festival Los Angeles. The Polish Film Festival serves Los Angeles film fans as well as persons of Polish heritage and those interested in the country, history and traditions of Poland. Our diverse audience includes, but is not limited to, new immigrants, women, families, persons from various age groups, ethnic communities, neighborhood communities, and gays and lesbians. Our objective is to unite people not to divide them.

The Festival’s program includes presentations of feature films, short films, documentaries and animations. The Festival is recognizing Polish filmmakers in five categories with presentation of

the Hollywood Eagle Award for best feature film,
the Hollywood Eagle Documentary Award,
the Hollywood Eagle Animation Award,
the Bridging the Borders Award for best short film and the Adam Bratcher Music Debut Award for first or second film.
Piotr Lazarkiewicz Award is presented for young talent.

Pola Negri Award is presented to non-Polish filmmakers for collaboration with Polish filmmakers or for portraying Polish characters.

In 2016 the Artist of Polish Heritage Achievement Award was established.
