A group of Polish émigrés founded the
KONTAKT publishing house in Paris in 1982.
It published 112 issues of a monthly magazine
and scores of audio cassettes that were broadcast
in their entirety,first on Radio Free Europe and later
(post-1989) by Polish Radio Three .
In 1984 KONTAKT began producing films
and television programmes.
Its productions have been broadcast
by almost all of the world's television stations.
KONTAKT has always worked closely
with many of Europe's foremost stations,
preparing reports for them not only about Poland,
but also about Hungary, the Czech Republic,
Slovakia and Lithuania.
