In 2005 Ingemar Johansson, started a film company that became known as Elfvikfilm after the beautiful Elfviksgården on Lidingö, as Carl Michael Bellman had a special love for and depicted in many of his works.
Since its inception, Elfvikfilm had the objective to support the productions that are qualitative and genuine, and the company's most recent film was the documentary El Medico: The Cubaton Story, which among other things won the award for best documentary at the New York Latino Film Festival and was nominated for a Guldbagge, the Swedish film award.
