Based in the Italian region of Friuli, close to Austria and Slovenia, Videomante was set up in 2004 and it is dedicated to the production of creative documentaries for the international market. Among the films produced by Videomante in the last years:
Valentino's Gift, 2012. Directed by Pier Paolo Giarolo, co-produced by Arte G.E.I.E in association with YLE, Finland. It was sold to Japan, Spain and Estonia by Autlook Filmsales. The Special Need, 2013, directed by Carlo Zoratti, co-produced with Detailfilm and ZDF Das kleine Fernsehspiel. Premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and won the Golden Dove at Dok Leipzig. Distributed by Wide House Films, it has been selected by more than forty festivals including IDFA (Best of the Docs section), CPH-DOX and Hot Docs Toronto.
