During the 45 years of work more than 200 feature films, as well as hundreds of documentaries and newsreels have been produced. Due to the hard economic situation and other reasons no active film production took place for nearly 10 years from 1992. In 2003 the new Board of Riga Motion Pictures Studio was elected. It began its work and set the target - to resume active film production.
