TRT Documentary awards

The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation also known as TRT (Turkish: Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu) was founded in 1964, it is the national public broadcaster of Turkey.
The TRT Documentary Awards has been organized since 2009 to support amateur and professional documentary film-makers; to contribute to the development and prevalence of the documentary film genre; to enable audiences to view different and high quality documentary films from various countries and in the long term to form the groundwork where worldwide documentary film-makers will meet and exchange their ideas.
“TRT Documentary Days” activities, which we hold in every May in İstanbul, bring together documentary filmmakers from around the world. It gives us a great pleasure to see that our activity week evolved into a documentary festival that began to become a habit for documentary lovers thanks to theater screenings including the finalist films, conversation sessions, concerts and the Gala Night program, where awards are presented to winners.
