Manekino Film

MANEKINO FILM is a Bucharest based production company established to promote authors driven films, original films that reflect the controversial nowadays reality and daringly explore the limits of cinema language. MANEKINO FILM sets an official frame for 10 years of creative team work in cinema field of its founders - Marius Iacob and Adina Pintilie. Their films were selected/awarded in a large number of international film festivals among which Locarno, Sarajevo, IDFA Amsterdam, Moscow, Warsaw, Thessaloniki, Vienna Film Academy IFF, Beijing Film Academy IFF, Karlovy Vary Short Film Festival, Huesca, Circuito OFF Venice, Uruguay, Molodist Kiev, Documenta Madrid etc.
In 2007, their first medium length film DON’T GET ME WRONG (NU TE SUPARA, DAR..), by Adina Pintilie, produced by Aristoteles Workshop with the support of the cultural channel ARTE France and Romanian National Television was world premiered in Locarno - Filmmakers of the Present Competition, included in IDFA 2007 - BEST OF FESTS selection, awarded "Golden Dove Best Documentary Award" in Dok Leipzig 2007, and selected / awarded in 50 international / national film festivals. 24 BUCKETS, 7 MICE, 18 YEARS - Marius Iacob had it’s international premiere at Vision du Reel 2012, was awarded The Silver Dragon For Best Documentary at Krakow International Film Festival – 2012.
