Born in Bukhara, Uzbekistan Elyor Nematov is currently working as a filmmaker, documentary photographer and graphic artist. His first personal project and book "Children of Bukhara" was presented in Tashkent in 2008. In 2012, started his project on labor migration from Central Asia under the title "I am a foreigner“. In 2015, he became a Getty Images contributor. In 2015, he published a project ‚Father Comes Tomorrow‘ about Labor Migration. Elyor Nemat actively covers human rights topics, in 2016 he published ‚My Name is Woman’ about bride kidnapping in Kyrgyzstan" and shot "Stolen Spring," a documentary about a young man kidnapped at the age of 17. His last feature ‚Askarov’ is dedicated to the legacy of Uzbek/Kyrgiz human rights defender Azimzhan Askarov.
