Ivana Barišić was born 8 months before the Yugoslav wars reached her hometown in Bugojno, Bosnia. With her family, she fled to Rotterdam, The Netherlands where she has been living ever since. During her BA in Media and Culture Ivana discovered her love for film. Framing Home (2017) is her first documentary film which was part of her MA in Visual Anthropology. She is currently working on a short film about her grandmother as part of a larger collaboration called Grandma’s project. In this film, the transmission of a beloved recipe is used to question their relationship and the heritage that is being passed down from one generation to another.
