Graduated in acting and film directing. Has cooperated with the Czech TV studio in Ostrava, for many years working on a number of TV programmes (current affairs, reports, etc.). Other projects and films: Made in Valmez, Smrtící řeka (awarded at the 1999 Jihlava IDFF), FC Roma, Skal a stepí Vysočinou, Mýtus a pravda o Marušce Kudeříkové, Tankisté, Ploština – krvavá paseka, and others. In 2009, his feature film Klíček was released in cinemas. He is among the authors behind the TV documentary series Příběhy železné opony and V zajetí železné opony that follow the stories of people who fought against communism. The series received the Elsa Award from the Czech Film and Television Academy. In 2007 it was honoured with the Trilobite Award given by the Czech Film and Television Association (FITES).
