Matus Durana is a documentary director and editor, graduate at Academy of Perfoming Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is currently developing his debut feature documentary film Metanoia about underground techno community in Moldova. His student short documentaries were awarded and selected to several international film festivals in Europe, Asia and Canada. In 2025 he produced a short TV documentary Dilemma for international broadcaster Deutsche Welle. This January he participated in Extática film workshop with Werner Herzog. His work is centered on exploring the intersections between observation and storytelling.
