Anna Friedrich, born in 1991 in Thuringia, is a documentary filmmaker and writer. After various internships and workshops, including with Bartek Konopka and D.O.P. Diego Romero, she joined the Professional Media Masterclass (PMMC) in 2012. In 2015, her web series Stories from Reality received the New Talent Award from Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung. In addition to her studies in Arabic at Leipzig University (2015–2020), she gathered international experience, including time in Egypt and Sweden. Currently, she is completing her Master’s degree in Documentary Film Directing in Potsdam-Babelsberg and resides in Thuringia.
