Born in 1959. Graduated from FAMU, Dept. of Cinematography. Professional career: cooperated with the observatory and planetarium in Prague. He participated in many teoretical and practical seminars at different observatories in Czechoslovakia a made several astronomical observations for the International Astronomic Network in Cambridge. Since 1995, member of the Assocaiation of Czech Cinematographers. He is one of the founders of Lampa Film Praha. He works mainly for Czech TV Prague and Czech TV Ostrava, but also for private producers. Feature films: Malčik - dir. D. Sís; Žiletky - dir. Z. Tyc; Vášnivý bozk - dir. M. Šindelka; Kamenný most - dir. T. Vorel. Documentary films: Kardinál - dir. P. Orozovič; Jaro, peklo, podzim, zima - dir. V. Kučera; Utíkej - dir. V. Kučera; Barokní opera - dir. M. Janek; Krejča, Svoboda, Faust - dir. R. Adler; Můj Parthenon jsou Holešovice - dir. R. Adler; Černobílá v barvě - dir. M. Erdevički-Charap. Several nominations and awards at many Czech and international film festivals (e.g., 2 x Czech Lion Award, camera, for the films Žiletky and Kamenný most).
