Jan Śpiewak is a recent graduate of the Institute of Sociology at the Warsaw University. Jan is an author and producer of several short documentaries and commercials. His first film "8 stories that haven't changed the world" gained international acclaim. As an active member of Jewish community in Warsaw, Jan focuses in his film work on Jewish heritage and its impact on Polish reality. His special academic and film interests inlcude also gentrification and urban decline of polish cities. Jan currently works as a public program specialist at the Musuem of History of Polish Jews. He is also a columnist for the Polish online weekly Kultura Liberalna.
