Documentary film director based in Almaty/Kazakhstan. Born in the USSR, she studied live action cinema at the High Courses of Script Writers and Directors in Moscow & at the Werner Herzog’s Rouge Film School in LA. Her short documentaries were awarded with various international prizes and she wrote with Julian Assange a concept for film MEDIANSTAN which was the Best Documentary at the Gothenburg Independent Film Featival, 2014. SEA TOMORROW, her debut full-length documentary, was premiered 2016 in Locarno FF. It¨s a Kazakh-German Co-production with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Film participated in many of international festivals and was mentioned by jury at Jihlava FF.
