Born in Athens in 1982, Marina Danezi studied Mathematics at the University of Athens and theater at Dimitra Chatoupi’s drama school “Dilos.” She began working in cinema in 2007, creating her own films as a screenwriter and director. In 2013, she expanded into production as well.
She has completed over 120 documentary episodes for the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), and her documentaries have participated in and been awarded at numerous national and international festivals. Her work consistently focuses on anthropological and social themes, individual and collective rights, as well as environmental and sustainable development issues.
