In 2005, after 15 years of documentary production and film distribution, Catherine Chevassu decided to become an independent sales agent and development producer. She created her own company, C&Co, in January 2011. As she has always been concerned about the place of women in society and in our industry, her catalog consists mostly of documentaries about women or made by women. C&Co offers an extensive collection of creative documentaries and docu-series with compelling themes and original styles, attracting an ever-growing audience in search of quality.
Her approach differs from that of other distributors, working more closely with producers. She handles promotion and international markets, while the producer signs directly with the buyer and returns a commission. It is a win-win business model. In recent years, she has also helped producers with financing plans to secure presales from broadcasters.
She works with documentary series too, representing "Moko," a Maori series, and an Icelandic true crime series that was just released. She collaborates with countries all around the world, including Mongolia, Iceland, and others.
