Michael Palm (*1965) is a multiply awarded film editor, film director and sound designer. His work as editor includes 25 feature films (documentary and fiction) and numerous short formats. His third feature documentary "Cinema Futures" premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2016. Currently, he is completing a long-term documentary feature project about the Austrian Parliament.
He is the author of numerous publications on the aesthetics and history of film and cinema. Since 1998 he is a lecturer at the University for Music and Arts, Vienna, and the University of Arts, Linz. Since October 2019 he is a professor for "Montage" at the University of Television and Film, Munich (HFF). Michael Palm lives and works in Vienna and Munich.
