Herwig Weiser (b. 1969, Innsbruck, Austria) is an interdisciplinary artist who makes intriguing machines he calls analog sculptural processes. Having studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam and at KHM Cologne, his works have been shown across Europe, North America and Asia, including the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz; China National Art Museum; Nam June Paik Art Center; Kölnischer Kunstverein; Kunsthaus Graz and Art Basel Miami. He won the transmediale Award (2001), the Nam June Paik Award (2002), and Lucid Phantom Messenger works were created through a Dock e.V. Berlin production residency.
