András PETRIK studied history and geography in Budapest, after which he worked for 3 years as cinematographer in documentaries. In 2001 he was accepted as a cinematographer student at the German Film- and Television Academy, Berlin. During his university studies he worked in various filmand TV productions in Germany and in Hungary. In 2009 he took part at the Berlinale Talent Campus as cinematographer. Since his graduation he continuously works in cinema and TV productions: Balkan Champion (90’, documentary, dir.: Réka Kincses) - Best Documentary in 2007 at the 38th Hungarian Film Week; Intimate Head Shot (73’, feature, dir.: Péter Szajki) – Best First Film Director in 2009 at the 40th Hungarian Film Week; GMO (45’, documentary, dir.: András Petrik and Ervin Balázs)- production for the national television channel MTV; Defenders of Fortress (74’, documentary, dir.: András Petrik). Recently he is developing two projects H. a 90’ feature and Invasion a 60’ documentary.
