In early '90s Anna Vášová worked as an international film and TV script executive for Czech TV. She worked on several landmark projects including 1996 Oscar winning feature Kolja. Later she headed the production and distribution arm of Barrandov Studios and then became Director of Programmes at Czech TV. After that she moved to Eurovison / EBU in Geneva overseeing international co-productions across 86 national broadcasters from 56 different countries. She became Head of Factual Programmes in 2009. During her 15 years at the EBU Anna has managed over 50 international co-productions, including for example cooperation on worldwide documentary series Why Democracy? & Why Poverty?. She returned to Prague to work independently as a script editor, writer and advisor on international projects.
