Kristijan Milić was born in Zagreb in 1969. Between 1993 and 2000 he worked as a stagehand and assistant gaffer. In 1994 he enrolled at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts. As a student, he directed three short features. From 2000 he has actively directed music and promo videos. In 2001 he graduated as a film and TV director. In 2002, he directed Sigurna kuća, a short, featured as half of the 24 sata omnibus. Five years later, he completed his first feature, Živi i mrtvi. Over the next six years he mostly directed daytime TV series, and was involved with two serialized dramas (Hitna 94 and Počivali u miru). His second feature, Broj 55, was made in 2014.
