Filippo D'Angelo, born in Palermo in 1956, graduated in history of cinema from Bologna University with a thesis about the relationship between the Murnau’s and Herzog’s Nosferatu. From 1980 to 1995 he has been working as journalist and film critic for several newspapers and cinema magazines. He wrote books on Wim Wenders, British Cinema of 80s, New Australian Cinema and American B-movies, and also organized retrospectives for some film festivals. In 1995 he established Vitagraph, a distribution company for cinema and television.
