Vadym Ilkov, born in 1972 in Donetsk, Ukraine, is a distinguished cinematographer and documentary director. Ilkov has worked on feature, documentary, and animated films. His latest projects include Grey Bees by Dmytro Moiseyev (Rotterdam International Film Festival 2024), and The Editorial Office by Roman Bondarchuk (Berlinale 2024).
As a director, he is known for My Father Is My Mother’s Brother, which won the Most Innovative Film Award at Visions du Reel 2018. Recently, he participated in DANCE PLUS CITY, a series of nine short films fusing contemporary dance with architecture across five countries, released on ARTE France and featured in various festivals.
