Fraser Bensted

Fraser began his career at London-based trailer house The Picture Production Company in 1995, rapidly becoming one of the most successful and respected trailer editors in the field, winning a Golden Trailer Award for his international trailer for Billy Elliot. More recently, he has extended his career by becoming a highly regarded trailer producer, specialising particularly in the independent sector. He has overseen successful and creatively original campaigns for a wide range of acclaimed films, including Slumdog Millionaire, Hunger, Searching For Sugar Man and Submarine.

Fraser’s in-depth knowledge of the industry, coupled with his technical expertise and creative flair, have gained him a dedicated client following who respect his passionate commitment to nurture, develop and refine every aspect of every project. It is this level of experience and insight that has led to him becoming a regular speaker at film marketing training events across Europe.

In the Autumn of 2010 Fraser set up his own company, TOKYO, in partnership with Simon Ubsdell, the co-founder and Creative Director of PPC. This new venture sees them continuing their long-term creative collaboration to meet the challenges of a new era of film marketing, where the worldwide scrutiny of audio visual materials demands a very high level of creative and technical expertise combined with a deep understanding of the international market.

Their most recent work includes sales promos for Sean Baker's The Florida Project, Clio Barnard's Dark River, Erik Poppe's U, Jonas Åkerlund's Lords of Chaos, and Ben Wheatley's Free Fire.
