Pero Kvesić was born in 1950 in Zagreb. He obtained a degree in Sociology and Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. Since 1977 he has worked as first editor in chief for several magazines and editions. He published numerous prose works and a number of poetry collections, as well as several picture books and children’s novels. In 1987 he came up with the idea for the animation series “The Little Flying Bears”. He has written screenplays for several TV dramas, documentary films and series. “Dum Spiro Spero” is his debut as a director.
