In 1983 he graduated from the Department of Documentary Film at the Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He has been collaborating with the Slovak Television in Bratislava since 1983, where he participated in the creation of more than 40 documentaries. In 1992 Hanzlíček was head of the department of educational productions at the Slovak Television in Bratislava.After the country split into two independent states in 1993, he has been living in Prague. he is collaborating with Czech television.
