Marika Pecháčková

journalist, director

Marika Pecháčková had studied photography and journalism before she finally knew that documentary film is the place from which she wants to watch and understand the world. At FAMU she was discovering her film language: with the camera in her hands she sometimes feels to be immersed in the world catching the images that jump on their own to the camera. Her fundamental structures of thinking come from psychology and personal experience with psychotherapy. She has 3 kids and lives with them and her partner in Prague.

She made several movies for the Czech Television:
Rest Now (2017) - visit of the collective unconsciousness of homeless people through their night dreams.
