Slađana Lučić has been in journalism for over 20 years. As a student in Osijek, Croatia she was a contributor to Glas Slavonije and Jutarnji list daily newspapers and the local TV station. Soon she opted for television and began working for the national broadcaster Croatian Television, later continuing at RTL News as a reporter and editor. The past six years she has been living in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and working as a news editor for Al Jazeera Balkans, a regional TV broadcaster and part of the global Al Jazeera network. She reported from many regional and worldwide events, trained young journalists and mentored participants at media trainings for numerous NGOs. Little Star Rising is her documentary debut.
