Çagla Zencirci (Ankara, 1976) and Guillaume Giovanetti (Lyon, 1978) directed several documentaries in the Middle East and Central Asia, among which Recovering Bam, shot in Iran, was awarded the Special Jury Prize in Ankara 2005 and purchased by Planete. They were selected to attend 2 Direction Residences in South Italy. They directed the documentary fiction Carnegami that was awarded at the Saint Maur Festival, France and attended the Short Film Corner at the 2007 Cannes IFF. Then shot the fiction documentary shantyGARDENtown in Turkey and Germany, and the film competed at the 2007 Berlinale. Other projects: middle-length fiction Ata (Father, 2009); Tu Mera Dil, Tu Meri Jaan (You're My Heart, You're My Soul), a road movie through Pakistan, selected for the EU-funded Mediterranean Films Crossing Borders; Mannheim Meetings, awarded the CNC Feature Film Development Grant of the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival.
