Born in Armenia in 1984, he has lived between France and Armenia since 2009. After studying cinema at the University of Yerevan (2001–2005) and the University of Munich (2006–2009), he gained perspective on his homeland’s history, which became the focus of his work.
In 2010, he participated in a GREC writing workshop led by Caroline Champetier, developing the short film *Le Mur blanc*. He directed documentaries for France Télévisions before creating his acclaimed trilogy: *L’Arbre* (2015), on the Armenian Genocide; *Blocus* (2020), on border conflicts; and *Nous étions frères* (2023), exploring war and memory. These films were selected by prestigious festivals worldwide, earning critical acclaim.
Now he is developing *The Ghost Republic*, a documentary supported by NCC of Armenia.
