Jiří Havlíček is the author of animations, videos, drawings, photographs and audio installations. In his work he deals with animation and its possibilities as a medium of memory recall or elimination. Based on the method of appropriation of the found images or film fragments, it examines the mechanisms of memory and its storage. He is interested in the phenomenon of shifting and deformation, new images and their contents arising from the reproduction, transformation or extinction caused by copying.
